At Sole Centered Foot Care, we prioritize your safety by adhering to strict infection control protocols set by Public Health Ontario and IPAC Canada. Our equipment is sterile until point of use or disposable after one use. Our knowledgeable foot care nurses are always available to address any questions about our comprehensive disinfection and sterilization practices.
Foot care nurses provide medical foot care treatments only. It is required that foot care nurses are registered with the CNO (The College of Nurses of Ontario) in order to practice. Foot care is a specialty in nursing and requires advanced training and education in conditions relating to pathology of the lower limb, complications of diabetes and proper nail and skin care in order to prevent infection. For infection risks, we do not provide foot soaking during our treatments.
Pedicures typically performed by a nail technician at a salon are generally for aesthetic purposes only. They will perform basic foot care techniques like a trim or file, but they are not registered health professionals. Nail salons, technicians, or aestheticians are not trained to monitor, assess or treat foot conditions and should not service high risk clients such as diabetics.
